Tencel Fabric is a popular eco-friendly textile that’s found in many garments. It’s also a very versatile material that can be used to make a variety of different products.

It is made from cellulose derived from trees such as eucalyptus. It’s produced using a closed-loop process, which means that almost no water or solvent is released into the environment during production.

It’s made from Eucalyptus trees

Tencel Fabric is a soft and breathable natural fibre made from the wood pulp of Eucalyptus trees. It is a natural alternative to cotton and it can be used in many different applications.

It’s also biodegradable and compostable so it can be recycled when it’s no longer used. It’s one of the most eco-friendly fabrics and is fully sustainable.

The wood pulp for Tencel Fabric is sourced from sustainably managed Eucalyptus tree plantations that are certified by the Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) or the Pan-European Forest Council (PEFC). These certifications are important as they ensure the forests that provide the raw materials for TENCEL Fabric are not deforested and that no damage is caused to the ecosystems.

To make TENCEL Fabric, the wood pulp is processed in a way that dissolves and spins the cellulose into a fiber. This process is energy and chemical-intensive but the Austrian company Lenzing AG, which trademarked TENCEL Modal and TENCEL Lyocell, has a closed loop manufacturing process that recovers part of the energy during production and optimizes chemical usage.

Unlike synthetic fibers, the microscopic fibrils in cellulosic fibres are structured to absorb and release moisture which helps to support the body’s natural thermoregulation properties. This makes the fabric breathable and moisture-wicking which means it helps to regulate body temperature and keep you comfortable.

When you combine this with the fact that it’s 3x more breathable than cotton, Tencel Fabric is naturally hypoallergenic and very soft against the skin. We blend it with organic cotton, recycled polyester, merino and linen to create versatile, high-performance fabrics that are soft and breathable.

We’re proud to be using this beautiful and sustainable material to create our bedding products. It’s a natural and vegan fabric that is free from harsh chemicals and dyes, so it isn’t harmful to the environment or people.

Over the past ten years, Tencel has become a breakout star on Google Trends, as interest in sustainable fashion continues to grow. Search terms such as “TENCEL fabric,” “TENCEL sheets,” and “what is TENCEL” have all reached all-time search highs on Google’s platform in 2019.

It’s biodegradable

Tencel Fabric is a luxuriously soft, eco-friendly and biodegradable alternative to cotton and linen. It’s made from wood pulp – primarily eucalyptus trees. It has a soft hand feel and is incredibly breathable, making it ideal for hot climates. It also has sweat-wicking properties, which means it keeps you dry and comfortable even when it’s raining.

It’s produced by the Austrian company Lenzing, who manufacture several different types of cellulosic fibers such as modal and lyocell. During production, Lenzing recycles up to 95% of the water and chemicals used.

The cellulose fibers are made from a slurry of eucalyptus chips that have been treated with an NMMO (N-methylmorpholine n-oxide) solvent. This produces a clear liquid that is forced through tiny holes called spinarettes, transforming the pulp into long, thin fibers.

Once the cellulose is ready, it is rolled into large sheets and dried. The strands are then cut and shaped into different forms. Manufacturers can re-shape the fibers into a variety of shapes and textures, from a soft suede look to a silky satin finish.

Like other wood-based cellulose fabrics, Tencel is fully biodegradable at the end of its life cycle. It’s also a highly sustainable alternative to petroleum-based synthetic fibers such as nylon and acrylic.

It uses far less land and water than cotton and linen production. It has an environmental rating of Class B, as determined by the Dutch not-for-profit, Made-By.

The fiber is sourced from certified and controlled wood sources such as eucalyptus, spruce, pine, beech and bamboo. Eucalyptus trees grow quickly and require little water, pesticides and fertilizers.

They are grown in managed tree farms and natural forests that do not use any harmful pesticides or chemical fertilizers, according to the Natural Resource Defense Council. The resulting lyocell is also regenerated from non-toxic chemicals, which means it’s one of the most environmentally friendly fabrics on the market.

As a result, it has a lower carbon footprint than most other textiles and is the most sustainable option in terms of fossil energy and water usage. It’s produced in a closed loop system that recycles up to 95% of the water, chemicals and energy used during manufacturing.

It’s sustainable

Tencel Fabric is a high-performance sustainable fabric that feels amazing and is used by a variety of brands. It is a great alternative to cotton and other fibers because it is biodegradable, eco-friendly, and breathable, while also looking great!

It’s a lyocell-based fiber that is similar to viscose and modal. These cellulose fibers are made by dissolving wood pulp and then spinning the result into yarn. They are then woven into clothing and bedding.

To make lyocell, wood pulp is mixed with a chemical solvent to dissolve it, then the dissolved fibers are pushed through a machine that forms long threads of fiber. Then, these threads are spun into yarn and woven into cloth.

The fabric is made using a closed-loop process that reduces the amount of waste and chemicals used. It also uses up to 20% less water than cotton.

This fabric is also biodegradable, which makes it safer to dispose of than other fabrics. It can be recycled in a landfill, and will eventually decompose naturally in soil.

It’s also a natural fabric that absorbs moisture and is a great sweat-wicking option for anyone who is active outdoors or sensitive to moisture in their skin. It’s also soft and stretches well.

You can find a wide range of Tencel garments from a variety of brands, from underwear to dresses and shirts to skirts. Kings of Indigo, for example, has a variety of underwear and clothes that are made of Tencel or blended with other compostable fabrics.

Thought is another brand that utilizes a variety of sustainable materials to create their beautiful dresses, skirts and shirts. They are a B Corp company that gives back to the planet and plants trees for every purchase!

This brand caters to both masculine and feminine people, so there’s something for everyone! They also publish where their fabrics are milled and the manufacturing process, making it easy to see who you’re supporting and how it’s done.

The brand’s collection includes a variety of t-shirts, shorts and pants for men and women, as well as bralettes and singlets to keep you cool and comfortable. They have a good selection of garments that are 100% Tencel or blend it with other biodegradable, more sustainable fibers like organic cotton and linen.

It’s beautiful

Tencel Fabric has become a very popular choice for sustainable clothing and apparel. It’s soft and silky to the touch, breathable, and wrinkle resistant. The fabric is also durable and lightweight.

It is made from plant fibers that are regenerated and harvested in a way that is beneficial to the environment. It requires far less energy and water to make than cotton and is biodegradable.

This makes it a great sustainable choice for many apparel and bedding products. It is an eco-friendly alternative to traditional cotton and linen fabrics, and is available in a variety of colors.

The fabric is produced from regenerated cellulose fibres that are derived from wood pulp, often eucalyptus trees. This regenerated cellulose is then spun into yarn, resulting in a fabric that is soft and breathable.

A softer and more sustainable option than cotton, Tencel is a natural plant-derived fiber that is incredibly soft on the skin and dries quickly. It is highly breathable and has anti-bacterial properties that help prevent bacteria growth on the body.

It is an environmentally friendly fabric that is a great choice for people with sensitive skin. It is also hypoallergenic and odor-resistant, making it an ideal choice for people who live in rainy or humid climates.

In addition, it is incredibly easy to clean. It dries quickly and can be washed in cold water with a gentle laundry detergent. It can also be tumble dried, but it should be done on a cool setting and not a high heat.

This makes it a perfect choice for many different types of garments and is an excellent alternative to silk. It is a very versatile fabric that can be used to make anything from dresses and pants to skirts and tops.

Unlike viscose rayon, which is synthetic and has been known to cause environmental problems, Tencel does not use any chemicals in its production process. The fibers are created using a closed loop system, which means that any chemicals used in the production of the fabric never leave the production line.

The fabric is a great choice for clothing and bedding because it’s a natural plant-derived fiber that is environmentally friendly and breathable. It is also a good choice for people with sensitive skin because it dries quickly and is anti-bacterial.
