Battle Uniform
When you prepare to go into battle against others (and you are not just training), you will need to have your battle uniform ready. You will find that your battle uniform will consist of camouflage items and items that will protect you. Your battle-ready uniform may also include suitable glasses, a visor, and a helmet. If you are playing with others in a team, you may also find that your battle uniform may feature specific colors or distinguishing features.
A Suitable Vest
As well as protection for your head in the form of a helmet, you will also need to wear a suitable vest. If you are not equipped with a vest, you may not be allowed to enter the game. A good vest will be safety tested and protect the whole of your chest and stomach area – and not just the top half of your body. Some vests can be heavy, and this can mean they take a bit of getting used to. Try on differently weighted vests to see which one is suitable for you.
Training Clothes
In addition to having a battle-ready uniform, you will also need to have airsoft clothing that you can train in. This may be different from your battle-ready uniform in terms of its features or even the color. An important part of your clothing and equipment is a good sturdy pair of boots. You do not want to wear trainers or sneakers as these will not give you sufficient protection. When looking at boots, it is important to look at protective boots and the materials they are made from. For example, are they lace-up boots made from leather? Or are they slip-on protective boots that are made from non-leather products?
