As a real estate broker for Coldwell Banker, loan broker, real estate mediator and developer, Sokrat Arzumanyan emphasizes client satisfaction at the highest level. This approach has established him as one of the country’s most successful brokers and a leader in the Los Angeles real estate industry with dozens of honors and certifications to his name, including the DRE “US Directory of Real Estate Excellence Award” for 2020. Running offices in Glendale and La Canada and overseeing a team of seven, he enables clients to feel at home as they search, decide, purchase, and move into their new homes.
“This is a service industry,” he exclaims. “I’m in this business to do my best to help people. I try to make the experience as seamless and easy as possible. My goal is to be a go-to one-stop shop for clients who are about to make the biggest decision of their lives.”
Sokrat originally grew up in Armenia. As the son of language professors, he eventually mastered four languages—English, Armenian, Russian, and Portuguese. Upon graduating from State University of Armenia with two master’s degrees in law and arts and language, he settled in Southern California with ambitions for a legal career. Even though he got accepted to the State Bar of California, a Coldwell Banker billboard caught his eye and inspired him to pursue real estate. After receiving his broker’s license, he launched his career at Coldwell Banker.
Throughout the last decade, he has deftly negotiated on behalf of over 100s of clients and carefully handled countless transactions, ranging from new construction, commercial and residential sales and purchase, and numerous loans. During 2008, he expanded his services to real estate development, overseeing dozens of successful projects from conception to sale. Along the way, he also built and mentored a team of seasoned professional agents under his watch. His involvement doesn’t end after escrow either. He facilitates move-in, by connecting clients with trusted contractors for repairs, improvements, and modifications.
Not to mention, he holds various certifications, including Real Estate Mediator, Probate and Trust Specialist, Certified BPO Specialist, CIPS [Certified International Property Specialist], CIAS [Certified Investor Agent Specialist], CNE [Certified Negotiation Expert], and more.
“At the end of the day, I’m here to serve my clients,” he leaves off. “Their satisfaction is paramount to me.”
Sokrat also makes it clear that it is never about the sale.
“My goal is to use all the information that I have acquired through a decade of experience to help them make an informed decision, because a lot of times, they’ll turn to me and ask me if they should buy that particular house. If I don’t think that property is in their best interest, I will always tell them no.”
Most importantly, Sokrat prides himself on being a family man, first and foremost. Residing in Los Angeles with his wife, three children, and rescue dogs, he divides his time between tennis, studying acting, and supporting various philanthropic organizations.
