Never apply lemon juice on your skin during the day, especially while stepping out in sun. This will give you bad sunburn – and when your skin is exposed to UV rays it can cause inflammatory reactions leading to redness, swelling and blistering.

While some people use lemon on the skin to lighten dark spots, there are chances that might lead to white patches like leukoderma spots instead. It is not that safe to apply lemon juice on your skin. In long run that might cause damage to the layers of skin giving excessive dryness and loss of the natural glow.
