How the coffee machine is adapting to latest technology

The first thing that most of us do today, is get up early in the morning and grab a cup of coffee. Believe it or no, it is one of the best things to do. It helps in taking your sleep away and keeps you refreshed throughout the day. I am sure that most of you like me, prefer to have just black coffee without any sugar and milk. It is very beneficial, especially before a workout and for your skin. Not only that, it is estimated that a cup of black coffee has just 1 calorie, so calorie conscious people can consume it 😉

Traditional methods

During the last century, (even last decade maybe) we didn’t have the comfort of coffee machines like today. We had to crush the coffee beans into powdered form, boil water, add coffee and then sugar. This entire process took about 10-15 minutes. Just imagine, you have to leave for office early, what happens in that case? You skip coffee! Everyone is super busy with their work in some or the other way. We all have a demanding professional life and end up spending most of the time in office. Sometimes, we are just lazy, like on weekends, we just want to lie around doing nothing.

Coffee Machines

So, we are living in the 21st century, where we have gadgets for almost every chore. Why not for coffee? Coffee machines were invented to brew coffee for us whenever required. We no longer need to turn on our gas stove or electric stove to crush beans and make coffee. The latest bean to cup coffee machines like Jura E6 does everything for us. They have an inbuilt grinder that crushes beans, water cabin which will brew water and mix beans. Not only that, there are even control settings for milk. You can control the temperature and froth content of milk in your coffee!

Coffee dispenser based on the mobile app

I am not sure how many of you are aware of this. There are quite a few espresso machines these days that can be controlled wirelessly. For instance, the JURA machines come along with JURA connect app. This app is available for both Android and iOS devices and requires your smartphone to have Bluetooth v4 or higher. Even other brands like DeLonghi and Miele have taken a step further and added an option to dispense coffee wirelessly, without even requiring you to lift your finger. You can check out the different espresso and coffee makers that have this feature on the BlackBearHartFord Blog.

What does this app allow you to do?

For starters, it allows you to make customized coffee. You can select the strength of your coffee aka beans, temperature, and the water content. You no longer need to play around with the machine display, to get the right settings.

Apart from customized coffee, you even have an option for customized product names. For instance, let’s say you love to have strong coffee in the morning but prefer to have a lighter one after you return from the office. You can configure your morning coffee as “My Morning coffee” or “Robert’s morning coffee”. Similarly, you can do the same for other people present in your house. This ensures that everyone gets to taste their favorite coffee flavor, no need to lock the settings to a specific combination.
