According to the country’s health, Peru has confirmed 691 new COVID-19 cases in 24 hours, taking its total caseload to 977,312 as of 10 p.m.
The ministry also recorded 54 more deaths from the virus, increasing the total death toll to 36,455.
In total, 912,501 people have recovered from the COVID disease across the South American nation.
