Bo Parfet believes that success is earned by the values of hard work, determination, and leading by example. He is a seasoned investment banker, having spent time on Wall Street with J.P. Morgan before venturing out on his own in starting Iconic Development, a real estate development firm that was listed as an Inc. 5000 fastest growing company.
Parfet also takes these virtues of success with him in his personal life. An avid mountaineer, explorer, and naturalist, Parfet takes “soaring to new heights” quite literally. He was one of about 84 people to have completed the Seven Summits, reaching the peak of the highest mountains on each continent.
He prides himself on his philanthropic approach to business and exudes that persona as the co-founder and CEO of Denali Venture Philanthropy, an investment organization where he and his wife Meredith fuse their business experience with their desire to support global social change.
Earlier this year, Parfet joined DLP Real Estate Capital as Managing Director. Parfet is focused on many aspects of the business including the DLP Prosperity Family Wealth & Legacy Membership and creating an insurance agency within the DLP family of businesses.
He has long described DLP founder and CEO Don Wenner as a thought-leader and client-driven entrepreneur, building his successful family of businesses with integrity, humility, and unwavering grit. Recently, DLP Real Estate Capital reached its 1,000-investor milestone.
“This is a significant milestone that took many years of hard work, determination, passion, and solid performance,” says Parfet. “Think about the body of work involved in getting that very first investor to now having 1,000 investors. There have been countless meetings, webinars, and connections made and the company has grown tremendously in the last 10 plus years. I joined DLP this year and I am honored and humbled to be a part of this large and talented team.”
Parfet believes successful companies like DLP aren’t built from luck, and one look at Wenner’s career will confirm that belief. From his early days starting out as a real estate agent with Keller Williams, Don Wenner built himself up as an industry leader almost overnight. He has shared in interviews that he was the salesman that went door-to-door asking people if they were interested in selling their homes.
Fortunately for Wenner, he had determination, strong will, and lots of faith, prompting him to quickly rise to the top of the industry. Over the course of his 14-year career in real estate, he has closed more than 15,000 transactions totaling over $3 billion. He has expanded DLP Real Estate Capital into a family of businesses offering services in brokerage, private lending, property management, building and construction, investment management, and asset management.
Wenner also works hard to continue to develop his team of talented individuals and helps to ensure his investors are knowledgeable and profitable. It is no wonder that DLP recently made the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies for the eighth year running.
“It is a tremendous honor and privilege to be making it onto the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies for the eighth year in a row. As a mountain climber, we call this being in “rarefied air”. We are led by Don Wenner, who is an inspirational leader and arguably one of the best CEOs in the United States. It will be no surprise for us to make the list again next year.” Parfet shares, as he is proud to associate his name with a company that operates with such integrity and a sharp focus on client-driven outcomes.
