Vietnam says China’s military drills harm code of conduct talks

Vietnam said on Thursday that military drills conducted this week by Beijing in the South China Sea will hurt negotiations on a maritime code of conduct (COC) in the disputed waters. The drills could complicate regional efforts to establish a maritime code and harm COC negotiations, foreign ministry spokeswoman Le Thi Thu Hang told a regular press briefing.
