3 Grilled Meat and Pasta Recipes for a Backyard BBQ

Try something unique and add a distinctive smoky taste to your pasta by mixing it with grilled meat.

Grilled Salmon Linguine

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of prepared salmon, flaked into bite-size pieces
  • 1 cup of linguine pasta, cooked al dente
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 1/2 cup chopped yellow bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 2 Tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 6 Tbsp. skim milk
  • 1 Tbsp. low-fat cream cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh dill

Procedure

  1. In a large saucepan, warm butter and olive oil over medium-low heat, add onion and bell pepper. 
  2. Cook until tender, about seven minutes. Add cream cheese and stir until melted.
  3.  Stir in salmon flakes and milk and simmer for 5 minutes, or until cooked properly. 
  4. Put pasta in a serving bowl and cooked pour salmon mixture over pasta. Toss to coat. 

Top with dill and lemon slices.

Grilled Chicken and Pesto Angel Hair Pasta

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups angel hair pasta
  • Two cloves garlic, minced
  • Two boneless chicken breast halves, cooked and sliced ( bite-size pieces, please)
  • 1 cup pesto sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp. toasted almonds

Procedure

  1. Cook pasta until al dente in a large pot according to package directions.
  2. Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium-high. 
  3. Cook garlic until uniformly tender. 
  4. Stir in cooked pasta, cooked chicken, and pesto. 

Slightly top with almonds while serving.

Italian Style Grilled Shrimp Pasta

Ingredients

  • 1 lbs shrimp, deveined and peeled
  • 1 lbs tomatoes, properly chopped
  • 16 leaves fresh basil, chopped
  • 2 cups of angel hair pasta, cooked al dente
  • 2 cups of shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 1/3 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp. minced garlic
  • 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • Salt 

Procedure: 

  1. In a bowl, mix olive oil, basil, garlic, Italian seasoning, and salt for taste. Mix until all parts are well-blended. 
  2. Add shrimp to the bowl and coat. 
  3. Cover it properly and refrigerate for a couple of hours. 
  4. Once done, cook on a pre-heated grill over medium heat until cooked through, about seven minutes. 
  5. Transfer from heat and set aside. 
  6. In a skillet, melt butter, then add dry white wine. 
  7. Bring to a boil. Stir in Parmesan cheese and heavy cream. 
  8. Simmer for twelve minutes until the mixture is reduced. 
  9. Add tomatoes, cooked pasta, and Mozzarella cheese in order.

Transfer from heat and top with grilled shrimp while serving.
