Indian Turmeric Tea
Makes 2 cups
Ingredients:
- Pepper powder – 1/2 tbsp
- Turmeric – 1/4tbsp
- Half cinnamon stick or 1/4 tbsp cinnamon powder
- Jaggery – 1/2 tbsp ( optional ) for better taste
- Garlic one
- Ginger grate small piece
Procedure:
- Take 350 ml of water
- Add all the ingredients and let it boil on a low flame until the water becomes 250ml
- Boil it for 10 minutes
- Drink this in the morning on an empty stomach or anytime during the day to build immunity
Pineapple Smoothie
Makes 1 glass
Ingredients:
- 150ml skim milk or almond milk
- 6-7 mint leaves
- One cup pine apple pieces
- 2 tbsp honey
- 30ml water/ ice cubes
- 3-4 almonds/cashew (as per your preference)
Procedure:
- In a blender, add pine apple pieces
- Add Milk, Nuts, Honey and Mint leaves
- Blend well
- Serve with a garnish of chia seeds/nuts or a sprig of mint.
Fruity Froth
Makes 3 glasses
Ingredients:
- 1 apple
- 1 beetroot
- 1 tomato
- 1 carrot
- 3 inches pineapple piece
- 1 cucumber
- 2 ginger juliennes
- 1/2 tsp pepper for mixing plus extra for garnishing each glass with a sprinkle
Procedure:
- In a blender, add all the ingredients.
- Use water to required consistency to make 3 glasses of juice (around 300 ml should be fine for 3 glasses in total, but you can use as much as you like for the level of thickness/smoothness you prefer)
- Pour into glasses and garnish with a sprinkle of pepper or a dash of lime.
