Earthquake of magnitude 5.8 hits Indonesia; tremors felt in Indonesia, Philippines, and Malaysia

A magnitude 5.8 earthquake struck Indonesia on Saturday (March 28), the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre said.

The quake’s epicentre was 105km south of Palu and was 40km below the earth’s surface. Tremors were felt in Philippines and Malaysia.

This is saddening to report considering how bad the coronavirus situation is already damaging these countries. We, at the NYK Daily, just hope everyone is calm and the virus is removed from face of the earth.

The Earthquake, at this time, has created a series of fear amongst Indonesians who are more afraid for their loved ones than ever.
