7 Ayurvedic Remedies to Manage Diabetes Effectively!

You are pretty disciplined when it comes to your health.

No really, you are!

You have to manage your blood-sugar levels, otherwise not only your doctor but your family will thrash you!

But there are times when you can’t resist the temptation of that motichur ke laddu; your colleague offered when he got promoted (it eases your jealousy a little). You just took a pinch and congratulated him.

You felt ecstatic as you held your ground!

Oh God, you have your son’s birthday party in the evening! Now, your discipline is tested by the heavens, and you held your ground as you just took a bite of the cake and slept peacefully.

Next morning, your friend bought some jallebis in the office. Your discipline just slipped, and you binged 5 pieces!

Oh, the regret!

All jokes aside, even if you follow all the steps prescribed by your doctor, you still have chances of developing diabetic neuropathy, nephropathy, retinopathy and similar ailments over the course of 15-20 years. It would be wise to live a better lifestyle and explore some new medications.

Ayurveda has some interesting remedies to help manage your diabetes, let’s explore 7 of them!

1. Cinnamon Solution

The bioactive components of cinnamon are known for diabetes prevention and management. It stimulates the insulin release in blood flow, hence helping in maintaining blood-sugar levels.

To use it simply boil a few sticks of cinnamon in a cup of water for 20-25 minutes, strain and drink it. You can have the solution on a daily basis. Though, keep in mind to take small qualities of cinnamon. Overconsumption of anything is harmful!

2. Aloe Vera juice

Bitter gourd is beneficial for patients suffering from type 1 and type 2 diabetes. To extract the juice of bitter gourd use a blender and drink it every morning on an empty stomach. (Yes, it is a great way to start your day, and a great way to pay off for your 5 jalebis!). You may also consume it as a dish throughout the day.

It is also rich in vitamin C and promotes proper functioning of the pancreas. To use it as a diabetic remedy, take three seedless amla and grind it into a fine paste, and then strain it through a clean cotton cloth to get the juice.

Take a glass of water and mix two teaspoons of amla juice and drink it on a daily basis on an empty stomach condition.

This herb is especially useful for maintaining blood-sugar levels and controlling diabetes. Also, this root of immortality reduces the craving for sugar and controls glycaemia in the body. Apart from that, it also boosts immunity and promotes the regulation of insulin and glucose in the system.

To use it, soak the leaves and bark of Giloy in water overnight, and have it in the morning daily.

I hope you liked the post, though, I would like to have a word with you before you go. It is very important that you lead a healthy lifestyle and do some physical exercise to stay rejuvenated throughout the day. You should avoid alcohol at all costs! Finally, I would strongly recommend that you consult a certified Vaidya before taking any medications by yourself.
